About

We are a soft materials research group in the Physics department of California State University, Fullerton. We study self-assembly and responsive behavior of microscale structures, with the goal of designing next-generation materials with dynamic properties.

Our approach to research is multidisciplinary. We welcome students from all backgrounds in Natural Sciences and Engineering. Participating students develop a variety of research and technical skills, such as wet lab experiments, microscopy, advanced imaging systems engineering, chemical synthesis, and molecular dynamics simulations.

Undergraduate and M.S. students at CSUF play a vital role in our group’s research. We want research to be an exciting and meaningful journey for every participant through which they can grow and succeed. Please look at the Research page to learn more about our work. If you want to know if the group has openings for new students, please contact Dr Nabila Tanjeem at ntanjeem@fullerton.edu.
